A Great Step is a web app that allows users to set a step goal with a particular target date in mind. The user inputs their current activity level, age, gender, weight height and target weight, and they input when they want to achieve that weight. The app generates a plan that can be exported as JSON and imported on other devices.

For now a static web app with a bit of JS functionality, but looking forward to upgrade it with full stack functionality for MomentuM to become a real life coach for the user.

Eggscapades of the Child ("Eggscapades" for short) is a JavaScript game built using the Kaboom.js framework, which I built on a team of 5 people for a Hackathon. The child (aka Grogu/the creature) is aboard a ship with the Frog Lady and her jar of delicious eggs. He's not meant to eat them, but they taste so good! Can you grab as many eggs as you can from the jar, when the Frog lady isn't looking? Be careful, or she'll catch you! If you're really smart, you might even get to see your elusive protector, the Mandalorian. But he's not keen on you eating those eggs, either, so that's double trouble! It was my first time using Kaboom.js, but we learned quickly as a team. I even used it in another group project later on. I also found my love for Hackathons during this project - it was my first of four, and I look forward to many more!

This Memory Card game follows the classic version's structure and goals. However, this updated version includes a deck of 20 cards containing 10 pairs, featuring 10 famous and popular rock stars. The game is simple and intuitive, requiring players to click on each card to flip it over and find its matching pair. Before starting the game, players will be prompted to log in and enter their name. The name should contain at least 3 and no more than 12 characters. Once the name is entered, players can click the start button and begin playing. Upon starting the game, players will be presented with a deck of cards. Clicking each card one by one will reveal its face, and players must find all 10 pairs to complete the game. The objective of the game is to complete it with as few attempts as possible. ReadRave is an online platform and a community for readers that allows you to review books and follow other readers for recommendations. This application was made using primarily React and Django Rest Framework. Django Rest Framework was used to build a backend API and frontend was build using React that consumes Django Rest Framework data. Both the backend and frontend dare combined under one repository in Github.

BuzzEireBrazil – Interactive blog catering to Brazilians in Ireland, facilitating job postings, room rentals, and classifieds. Developed using HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap), JavaScript, Python (Django), with Postgres DB, deployed on Heroku.

My second project with Code Institute. Inbetweens is a card game I played as a teenager, it’s a betting game usually played for money. The game will be adapted for the purposes of this project. In later years as a teacher, I adapted games like this to help my students to understand the concept of probability and chance and they found it very enjoyable and learned quickly to ascertain high and low probabilities and the highs and lows of risk-taking.

Dynamic CV is a tool designed to help users create customized CVs tailored to specific job applications. It allows users to input their professional information and, by analyzing job titles provided for the given CV, suggests relevant skills and experiences to include. This streamlines the process of creating personalized CVs quickly, ensuring applicants highlight the most suitable qualifications for each role. Users can save multiple versions and download them as PDFs or Word documents, making it easier to adapt applications for different job opportunities.
